Not only from guitar and piano,
I grip my motorcycle throttle with two fingers feather-light on the brakes, and throttle inputs really come from the combo of thumb, ring, and pinky, and some palm etc, but not the index and middle.
It sounds like the two techniques transfer! A lot of work is put into the right hand for throttle control, so I wonder if developing finer mouse control would actually help MY THROTTLE CONTROL?! BRO
